KATO introduced Tangless wire inserts to the market over 20 years ago, which utilize a ramped driving notch on the inside diameter of the first coil on each end of the insert, thereby eliminating the need for a traditional "tang" and the removal process. All KATO CoilThread tools work with Helicoil, Recoil, and Boellhoff inserts!
